Super Rare  Wolverine Orchestra   Oh Baby / Copenhagen  Gennett 5453   78 rpm    1923
Approximately 30 to 35 years ago, I purchased a major JAZZ record collection from a gentleman who had been a member of several of the early jazz bands in the 1920s and 1930s. My son and I had the pleasure of  discussing some of his early travel experiences. The gentleman's name was Foss Wright and he identified every band with which he played and recorded. Some of the celebrities with whom he played include Bix Beiderbecke and Frankie Trumbauer. Whenever he recorded a session, he placed a tape with names of the players at the top of the label (see picture). He never included his own name on the label, although, he played with The Wolverines on this recording.

ALL RECORDS ARE VISUALLY GRADED UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. I WILL USUALLY ATTEMPT TO PLAY-GRADE THE HIGHER VALUED RECORDS, BUT IT IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO LISTEN TO EVERY RECORD I LIST. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT RECORDS OF THE SAME VISUAL GRADE MAY NOT SOUND THE SAME. SOME LABELS JUST SOUND BETTER THAN OTHERS. 

I use the following grades: M - NM - E -VG  - G 

Mint (M) = Apparently un-played and showing no signs of wear. 

Excellent (E) = Showing only slight wear and much of the original shine remains. 

Very Good (VG) = Grooves may be somewhat discolored and/or evidence use. There may be surface scratches. Label may begin to show use. Still a clean and very acceptable copy. 

Good (G) = There will be surface scratches and sometimes deeper scratches. However, these records will play through, without skips, and provide very acceptable play. There will possibly be some background scratch or hiss noises.

This record is from my private 40+ year collection of movie and music. All items have been stored in a smoke-free home.
