I am selling some of my collection of  classical records most of which are high grade.

This is a 1962 two-record set of Bizet's The Pearl Fishers conducted by Pierre Dervaux with the Chorus and Orchestra of The Theatre National de L'Opera-Comique, Paris  It is a first stereo pressing on the English EMI Columbia label.

The glossy near-mint vinyl has only been played once or twice. The records come in a pair of gorgeous glossy-laminated beautifully-coloured fold-back sleeves in near-mint condition. The sleeve for record Two has a small horizontal nick along the upper edge which I have illustrated in the last photograph: it is a small defect that barely detracts from this sumptuous package. . The original inner sleeves are really excellent-- nice, crisp and white with very little creasing.

This is just about as good a copy as you will find: but if you don't agree you may return it for a full refund.


Look out for more rare recordings in high grade which I am disposing of.  All are part of a personal collection of 1950s,1960s and early 1970s Classical LPs ; most are in excellent or better condition; including several rarities and first pressings, mainly Decca SXLs, EMI ASDs, Angel, and Mercury Living Presence Stereo:   De Vito, Kertesz, Oistrakh, Beecham etc. I am happy to receive wants lists if there is something you are particularly looking for.

I will be listing numbers of them individually throughout the next two weeks or so. So please review my other listings from time to time. They must go and are sold without reserve.

I grade according to Record Collector Magazine standards and I think you will like these recordings as much as I do; but if you don't, and you are not completely satisfied then everything is returnable.

I will give postal discounts for multiple purchases and I am happy to ship anywhere in the world. If you are bidding from outside UK  European Postage is £7; and America, China, Japan & the Far East is £9.50.
