Description
Superb VG++ mono copy of Tommy Whittle’s Easy Listening with Tommy Whittle and His Friends. This is a reissue of the Tommy Whittle Quintet’s 1960 LP New Horizons (Tempo TAP 27), a classic of British jazz that is nearly impossible to find; a version sold in April 2019 for @ $2900. This version, put out on Jeffrey Kruger's Ember label in the early 1960s, has the exact same track listing as the Tempo original. It is also very hard to find.
This copy is in fantastic condition all around, with fabulously clean vinyl, great artwork and cover design, and textured maroon and gold labels with deep groove. Was very well taken care of by previous owner and could not have been played more than two or three times.
Vinyl: VG++. Record is bright and clean and on nice heavyweight vinyl with deep groove labels. Production is strong and clear and vivid. There are no skips pops or clicks. See photos for details.
Sleeve: VG++. Cover is clean and retains original shiny finish, but has some edge wear along corner seams. Otherwise spine and seams are strong and intact. See photos for details.
LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.
