German Test Pressing
This is a super rare record – a Test Pressing from the first German pressing of this classic album. Sub Pop was only making about 20 TPs per release at this time, and remember that The Supersuckers were still a relatively unknown band – this was their first album, and I’m sure that at least a few of these weren’t even saved in the first place. Incredibly rare, this may never be seen for sale again. The labels are from the Pallas pressing plant in Diepholz Germany, and it comes in the original protective sleeve with pressing info and a stamp from the plant. The catalog number is faintly etched in the dead wax, and also appears on the sleeve. Don’t pass up this opportunity – this is a real artifact, and deserves a prominent place in a serious collection.

The grade of the record is VG++, with only a couple of very light surface-only marks that do not affect play, with bright sheen and crisp labels – many would call this NM. The sleeve is VG+, with light signs of storage and no splits or tears. A beautiful copy, and truly never seen for sale.

Please click here for my Complete Grading Criteria. “Mint” is essentially new, and “Poor” is essentially unplayable. I do not use ‘Excellent’ in my grading model because Goldmine doesn’t use it, and it has no standard meaning. I have 19 years of experience with the Goldmine system, and grade conservatively so you’ll have no surprises.
