Promo Demonstration Copy of the album. Album was play tested through Focal Elegias and played as EX+/NM- (and it was more NM- than EX+, numerically I'm scoring the play a 93). Overall there were some areas of very very light surface noise, typically between tracks. There were a few of what sounded like missed flecks of dust including two on track A1, one on A5 and one on B5. There was a bit more surface noise toward the end of B2 and on B1 toward the middle end were 3 minor ticks and one super light tick. This play has it all where it counts and sounds fantastic and if it wasn't for the issues on B1 this play would be NM- outright. What is driving the VG+ grade is heat markings to the vinyl (it's not warped and I couldn't find what it was on google again, I'm about 95% sure I read something about this issue and it's cause). I don't know what it is really but it something you will see visually, much more noticeably on the A-side than the B and looks like hazy staining (I cleaned the vinyl with liquid cleaner and it was not something cleaning off). Typically I don't look at the vinyl before I play it and let my ears do the grading. I looked first in this case and was honestly surprised with the quality of what my ears heard compared to what my eyes saw; It sounds fantastic overall and you'll love it.
The sleeve is scored excellent, numerically an 85 and just a bit above the VG+ score. The gold stamp is essentially perfect (I've seen some of these stamps with wear spots to them) Overall the cover shows only light wear less a bump on the top right corner, a lesser bump on the bottom left corner, a stain spot below the second letter 'P' in the band name, a faint crescent shaped crease running 25mm (below the knife under the same 'P") and a lesser spot a bit to the lower left of that.
