Description

I purchased this in the secondary market advertised with near mint vinyl and a very good cover and after my own evaluation I agree with this.  Following a light cleaning I did see a couple of a 2-3mm size mark on each side (I have no idea was it is, just a tiny discoloration you'll see if you really look) and under super bright light I saw a couple of faint lines (probably from going in and out of the sleeve) with a test play through Grado PS1000e’s confirming an as advertised sound and based on this numerically I score the vinyl a 96, a solid A and well within the near mint category.  The cover has some issues and numerically it gets a score of 74, better than a C- but not much. Within the bottom seam is a fair amount of shelf wear with lesser wear on the top seam and spine.  Between the letters M and P in the band name is the residual mark of a price tag.  The front cover also shows some rub wear (I guess this is what it is causing come spots of discoloration all of which I hopefully captured within the pictures). All four corners show wear, with a bump on the bottom right corner where there is a 2cm crease and most noticeably on the bottom left and top right corner where there is a 2mm separation at the start of the corner) Of course, the overall back cover is cleaner than the front cover (I get why some record store would put the sticker on the actual jacket as opposed to the bag which thieves could switch out but why not put the price on the front of the bag and the back cover instead of the front?  Why??) however within the bottom left corner there is a crease at1cm that separated that piece of the cover from the cardboard along the diagonal (it's still attaches at the crease but a good hit could knock it off however moving it very carefully in and out of the plastic bag should mitigate further issues.  The album will be shipped in between cardboard with the vinyl outside of the jacket within a Whiplash record mailer.  If you have any other questions please let me know and thanks for looking!
