PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
RARE Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Original Master Recording edition pressed on heavyweight vinyl in Japan in 1978 with one of the earliest, if not THE earliest, MFSL fold-out catalog insert, with a grand total of 8 releases to their name up to that point and dated August, 1978!! I have had well over 200 MFSL albums pass through my hands in my 40+ years of collecting and never seen this insert before. Instead of the standard white, this one is dark tan and actually looks as if it was typed by hand like an office newsletter and photocopied! Early Fall releases include Al Stewart's Year Of The Cat, George Benson's Breezin' and Fleetwood Mac's self titled release! Check out the inside with a rundown of the equipment at their disposal to utilize for optimum sound! This pressing obviously predates the rigid fold-out inserts that later became a staple of MFSL releases!! LP is a very nice VG+ with a few light paper scuffs and cover is a nice VG with a bottom left hand corner bend.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
