Description

This is a difficult to find very low serial number #0630 of 5000 of Mobile Fidelity's Supertramp 'Crime of the Century' UHQR release. This has the 'narrow deadwax' pressing only present in titles somewhere below the first 1000 pressed, after which they moved to a pressing with much wider deadwax bands on both sides. The 'narrow deadwax' version is highly sought after for the sound quality of that pressing. This is a 1981 reissue of the original Supertramp 1974 release, with MFSL catalog number MFQR 1-005 from their premium UHQR 33 rpm 200g line of releases with JVC Super Vinyl. 


This box set has been opened but overall in very good shape. The vinyl has been ultrasonically cleaned and is in EX condition, with just a small amount of surface noise during quiet passages. Overall fidelity is extraordinary, this is a legendary MoFi pressing.  Some noticeable scuffing and wear on the outer box cover including tears in the upper corners of the front box cover, please see pics. All the original inserts including the red and black album UHQR album cover, the certificate of authenticity, the technical specifications manual, two foam layers, the white plain cardboard protective cover, and the original MoFi rice paper sleeve are all included and in excellent shape.
