This is for an OOP sealed vinyl copy of Supertramp 'Crime of the Century'.  Speakers Corner Records is thee version to own on vinyl.  Stored in a non-smoking, climate controlled area.  As you can see in the photos, a small portion of the shrinkwrap is missing in a couple of spots.  The vinyl is still completely sealed in the jacket.  No bends or ringwear.  There are no returns on sealed vinyl.

About Speakers Corner:  At the beginning of the 90's, in the early days of audiophile vinyl re-releases, the situation was fairly straightforward. Companies such as DCC, Mobile Fidelity, Classic Records and, of course, Speakers Corner all maintained a mutual, unwritten ethical code: we would only use analogue tapes to manufacture records. During the course of the present vinyl hype, many others have jumped on the bandwagon in the hope of securing a corner of the market. Very often they are not so ethical and use every imaginable source to master from: CD's, LP's, digital files, MP3's – or employed existent tools from the 80's and 90's for manufacturing. A digital delay is gladly used when cutting a lacquer disc because tape machines with an analogue delay have become quite rare and are therefore expensive. When cutting the lacquer, the audio signal is delayed by one LP revolution against the signal, which controls the cutter head, and for this a digital delay is very often employed. Of course, the resultant sound signal is completely digital and thus only as good as this delay. We should like to emphasize that Speakers Corner Records on principle only uses the original master tape as the basis for the entirely analogue cutting of lacquer discs. In addition, the pressing tool is newly manufactured as a matter of principle. We have one digital recording in our catalogue (Alan Parsons / Eye In The Sky“), but even in this particular case we used the analogue tapes for cutting. We only employ existing tools for manufacturing if an improved result is not forthcoming, e.g. the title Elvis Is Back, which was mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray, or several titles from our Philips Classics series, which in any case Willem Makkee cut from the original masters at the Emil Berliner Studios in the 90s. It goes without saying that we only used the mother and that new tools were made for our production. To put it in a nutshell: we can ensure you that our releases are free from any kind of digital effects – excluding the exception above – and that the lacquer discs are newly cut.

Reviewer: Karl Landgren My friend played some of my UHQR, and then his Speakers Corner on his Linn LP-12 based system. As we often would do, I didn't know which was which. We both concluded that the SC had even more convincing vocals, more authoritative bass, etc. The MoFi UHQR may have outshone it in one or two ways, but overall, hat's off to SC for a mighty fun listen! A great piece of demo-quality wax.

Reviewer: Lee I can only echo everything that everyone has said already. The quality of this pressing is extraordinary - and I don't say that for all the SC re-issues by any means. Every possible detail has been included here, from Ken Scott's masterful production. The analogue tapes must have been in very good nick! Special highlight for me was "If Everyone Was Listening", truly took my breath away. But the whole lp is just wonderful. At last a re-issue to be truly proud of. Well done SC!

I wish Speakers Corner would make more rock albums especially for this price. Don't waste your time or ton of money looking for the MOFI version of this, you don't have to! hooray!

Reviewer: Rob I must say that this is one of my favorite albums of all time. I have struggled for years trying to find a descent MFSL copy without spending an arm and a leg. Here it is! Sounds absolutely wonderful, best I have heard, except for one thing - at the end of side one during the outro of Asylum when only the piano is slowing fading, there is a scratch on the last ten grooves that just kind of kills that sonic nirvana I was just in. I was wondering if anyone else who has purchased this pressing has had the same problem. Was I just the lucky one that got a bad pressing or was the metal master at the factory bad? Other than that little glitch I would highly recommend this record.

I had read several favorable reviews of the Speaker's Corner version besides those posted here, so my expectations were pretty high when I ordered it. The vinyl is flat, quiet, and stout. And the sonics are unlike I have ever heard before of this recording. I was simply mesmerized at the sound. My MFSL UDI digital will now be retired as my definitive version, having been replaced by this wonderful sounding edition. Per usual, Acoustic Sounds staff, ordering process, shipping & packaging were all terrific!

Reviewer: audiofan I noticed one other reviewer had a problem with side one's first track; my copy looked like someone set a warm iron on the same area. But the second copy proved worth it all. Superb rendering of this iconic album, which I still believe is ST at their finest. Very quiet, with excellent separation, depth/width of sound stage, imaging, ect. So far I've been quite pleased with the titles from Speakers Corner, despite the hiccup on this.

Reviewer: Dennis Reese Speakers Corner did a marvelous job on this title. Quiet vinyl as always and clean, crisp dynamics all the way through. The old Mofi reissue was good. This puts it to shame! If you're a Supertramp fan by all means get this!

More importantly a record in which to become completely absorbed. A most satisfying release. I have an older audiophile pressing with which I was most pleased. This release is better again.

Reviewer: Mark In general I prefer original vinyl issues over heavy vinyl reissues. However Speakers Corner has done a great job with Supertramp's Crime of the Century. The sound is very lush and maintains the "analog magic" that so many classic rock reissues somehow lose. Compared to my original US copy, the SC version is slightly less detailed but has a much smoother sound. Recommended for those skeptical regarding reissues.

It's great dynamics remains a gold standard with witch to test any stereo and this modern pressing remains faithful to the original if not a little more bright . Clean , crisp , powerful and silent .
