Suppe Strauss Nights in Vienna Kempe UK HMV ASD 279
On “Nights in Vienna”, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rudolf Kempe performs Suppe “Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna”, Herberger’s Overture to “Der Opernball”, Lehar’s “Gold and Silver” Waltz and other works by the Johann and Josef Strauss’ and Reznicek. An English stereo pressing on the HMV Label (ASD 279), the labels are cream with a gold border and stereophonic, plum lettering and a small shaded dog logo. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has minor wear only.
