(HMV ASD 561 UK LP 1963)
This is a UK Stereo 1st pressing in very nice condition! It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large sized "Stereo" on the front. It comes with its original polythene-lined generic "EMI" company inner sleeve. It also has a company (EMI) "Record Times/ Reord Mail" advertisement insert. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has white & gold "HMV" labels. It has 1st press 2YEA 822-3 and 2YEA 823-3 matrix numbers.
This is a genuine UK 1st pressing of this rare UK Stereo Classical LP. In very nice condition too. I have some other rare & collectable 1950's & 1960's Classical Stereo UK 1st pressing LP's for sale. So please see my other listings.
Sleeve: There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light or very mild fading to the "white" of the rear sleeve. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges. This hardly notices. There is a tiny bit of wear on the top flipback on the rear sleeve. This is at the top spine area. The spine is in great condition & shows minimal wear. There is some light, very mild or very minor ringwear on some areas. Overall, Very Good++ condition.
Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs can hardly be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. NEAR EXCELLENT condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition and show minimal spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There is very small tear at the die-cut centre area on one side only. There are no seam splits. The "Record Times/ Record Mail" advertisement insert is in Excellent+ condition. It appears to have been barely handles.
I have play tested this LP in its entirety. Side 1 plays Near Excellent to Excellent overall, & Excellent+ in some places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in some places. Side 2 plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some places. There are a few intermittent light or very mild clicks a quarter of the way through Side 2.
This LP would definitely benefit from a deep down groove clean in a professional record cleaning machine. Visually the disc looks in Near Excellent condition. Therefore, any crackle is just due to microscopic deep down dirt in the grooves. This is from years of storage. It would play, I believe, Excellent+ and better after a professional clean. It would, I believe, remove any crackle & clicks.

MINT Condition = A perfect copy! Almost impossible to find like this.
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, There may be a very few, very light paper surface sleeve rubs that can hardly be seen under strong light. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. The sleeve is virtually perfect - there is very minimal wear only.
EXCELLENT Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows minimal defects. There will be light, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs. There will be no scratches. The cover will be very nice & clean with maybe minimal creasing, ringwear or edge rubbing wear etc...
NEAR EXCELLENT Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times, but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only. The sleeve may have light, mild or very mild creasing,ringwear & very mild rubbing wear to the edges etc.... Overall, it will be a very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
Very Good Condition = A well played but very decent overall copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears etc... The record will not be trashed!!

All records will be sent in high quality packaging. All records will be extremely carefully & securely packaged to ensure safe arrival to you. The dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment. I always remove the inner/ LP from the sleeve & place them, with the sleeve, in a polythene outer sleeve. This will prevent seam splits to the sleeve during the shipping process. I often remove the vinyl from the original inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your records.
