Description

Disguised as the Swanee Swingers, the Isham Jones Juniors play two hot tunes, "Slappin' the Bass" and "Take It Easy."  There are lots of good solos and obbligatos from this starry band.
Chelsea Quealey (tp); Sonny Lee (tb); Woody Herman (cl, bar, vcl); Maynard "Saxie" Mansfield (ts); Howard Smith (p); George Wartner (g); Walter Yoder (b); Walt Langeson (d); Virginia Verrell (vcl); Isham Jones (dir).  Recorded in New York on March 25 and 31, 1936.
This record is in EE+ condition, and is still in its original Decca sleeve with the NRA eagle.  A slight warp does not affect play.  The Decca sleeve has some creasing, a small seam split on the bottom, and three small tears on at the left seam and at the lower right-hand corner.  It displays well nevetheless.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing.  I know how to pack records.
