Description

About This Record.  This is Syd Barrett’s Madcap Laughs LP, on UK Harvest.  The original gatefold, and a keeper copy—Harvest SHVL 765 in usual stereo format.  Nice psych trippy LP with airbrushed naked woman on back cover.  Another famous E.J. Day cover in its original splendid gatefold form.

 

Cover Condition.  The cover is a nice VG+.  It would be near mint or mint except there is a slight cover ding on the front and back cover that looks like someone bit it (with one tooth).  Not too noticeable, but there.  Otherwise is minty cover.

 

Vinyl Condition.  The vinyl is near mint, and the labels are near mint.  This has been stored in my collection for 25+ years in a plastic sleeve and only played a couple of times on high quality equipment.  See scans.

 

Grading Vinyl.  I use modified Goldmine grading standards.  Mint/NM/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G.  I DO NOT use the EX grade (or EX+ or EX-, or VG++ or VG+-, etc.!)  My VG+ is EX to EX+, and my VG- is EX-.  I grade conservatively; look at my feedback!   I play grade my vinyl with an MC Ruby 3 Micro Benz cartridge.  I do not alter the records, covers, or labels with pens, tape, glue or other stuff.  When I notice such damage, I point it out in detail.
