Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs

The album from the former Pink Floyd member, that shows his genious, but also hints to his fragile mental condition at that time, heavy influenced by his drugs abuse. A must have for every lover of psych-rock music.

Issue:

Harvest SHVL 765 Stereo (England, 1970, original pressing).

Record is Ex (there are some surface marks, especially one on side 1 looks serious, but none of them is audible!), Gatefold cover is Vg.

I carefully grade my records as indicated below

GRADING

CONDITION

MINT (M)

Near Mint (NM)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

If the record looks and sounds brand new (with no or minor spindlemarks) then, independant of the state of the cover, it is graded Near Mint. Cover is graded seperately.

EXCELLENT (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. There may be some light surface noise in the outer grooves. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
