Description
Up for grabs is a true first press of Syd Barrett's The Madcap Laughs. A lot of the first presses I've seen on here are actually second presses, which also have no EMI logo but have a slightly wider, rounder font for the song titles.
It's not the most pristine copy in the world. The jacket has some seam splitting, a tiny bit of the corner missing and some wear on the spine (see photos). I have not play tested the vinyl. It looks to be overall fairly shiny (needs cleaning) but there are a decent amount of surface scratches and scuffs. Nothing too deep/horrible looking (I tried to capture the worst spots above) but again, it's not play tested. This would be an awesome way to get this pretty rare record into your collection without spending a ton of cash.
There is an old white sleeve included, I don't know if it is original or not. I put the vinyl in a plastic Diskeeper sleeve.
