Description

Syd Barrett "The Madcap Laughs" Vinyl LP. Absolutely classic album by Pink Floyd founder member Syd Barrett.


The vinyl plays VG+ with just the normal amount of surface noise for a record of this age. However there is a scratch on the opening track which causes noise for about ten seconds and one skip (at least it skips on my equipment). A previous owner wrote this on the inner sleeve (see pictures). It is a pity about this but to be honest it doesn't even spoil the track for me, never mind the rest of this brilliant record. There is a mark on the side 1 runout but this doesn't affect playback.


Given the above I would rate the LP overall as VG on balance.


  • Important - this is the first pressing (no EMI logo on labels plus I believe all the other markers if the first pressing are present - see pictures).
