Syreeta  2 Self-Titled Vinyl LPs: Syreeta - MoWest MW 113L (1972) Syreeta - Tamla T7-372R1 (1980)
Condition: Syreeta (1972) is Very Good Vinyl and Very Good+ Cover.  There is some noise at the beginning of side two, otherwise is very good. Syreeta (1980) is Very Good + Vinyl and Very Good + Cover. Plays really well with no issues and good fidelity. Cover is strong and colorful. Both records were play-tested on both sides and include original covers in very good shape with no splits.
Syreeta is the debut studio album by American R&B and soul singer and songwriter Syreeta Wright, released in 1972, on MoWest, a subsidiary of Motown Records. The self-titled debut album was produced by Wright's ex-husband, musician Stevie Wonder; it was released following the former couple's separation and subsequent divorce. The album featured compositions by both Wonder and Wright, and also featured Wright's takes on other artists' songs. This included a Wonder-produced, funk-oriented version of his earlier recording, "I Love Every Little Thing About You", which was initially recorded by Wonder for his Music of My Mind project, released earlier that year.
Wonder and Wright used the talk box prominently on Wright's cover of the Beatles' "She's Leaving Home" while Wright provided a smoother vocal take of Smokey Robinson's "What Love Has Joined Together". Wright wrote the ballad "Happiness" and she and Wonder co-wrote "Baby Don't You Let Me Lose This", and their featured duet "To Know You Is to Love You" together. The album failed to generate success, though Wright would go on to a productive solo career throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Wright and Wonder continued working together for several decades.

Syreeta is the fourth solo album by Motown recording artist Syreeta Wright, released by the Tamla label in 1980. It's also the second album to be titled Syreeta after her 1972 debut album.
The album was released shortly after Wright's duet with Billy Preston, "With You I'm Born Again", gave her the biggest charted success of her career. The album included Wright's take of her famous compositions, "I Blame It On the Sun", which she wrote for ex-husband Stevie Wonder's Talking Book and a funky take on Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)", which she also co-wrote. Wright provided lyrics and composition on one other song – "Dance For Me Children", with Curtis Robertson. Wright also collaborated with Preston on the album with the duets, "Please Stay" and "One More Time for Love", the latter duet charted modestly successful on the pop and R&B charts upon its release. The album features a smiling Wright in her trademark multi-colored braids.

I use the Goldmine Grading System, and play-test all records. I note any differences between vinyl and cover, and make note of any inserts, special sleeves, or potential defects.

MINT (M) - Absolutely perfect in every way. Most often this is a still sealed record, records that have been opened are rarely if ever marked as Mint.

NEAR MINT (NM) - A good description is that it looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time. In other words, it?s nearly perfect, with no visible defects. 

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) - Except for a couple minor things, this could be Near Mint. Most collectors will be happy with a VG+ record, especially if on the high end (VG++). VG+ records may show slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Covers should have only minor wear. 

VERY GOOD (VG) - VG records are among the biggest bargains, and for many, will be worth the money. They can lack the original gloss, may have surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages. But the noise will not overpower the music. VG covers will have signs of handling, and may have minor splits. 

GOOD PLUS (G+) - Good+ does not mean bad! The record still plays through without skipping, but it has significant surface noise and groove wear. Cover may have significant ring wear, noticeable writing, or obvious damage.

GOOD (G) - Record may have some skipping, but is otherwise listenable. I generally avoid selling Good (G) rated records unless they are highly collectible or desirable, in order to enjoy until something better comes along. Cover has major wear or seam splits that need repair, or heavy writing like radio station call letters to prevent theft.
