T. REX
SIDE A: TELEGRAM SAM
SIDE B: CADILLAC
MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Odeon Records very first High Fidelity Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1972 by Industrias Eléctricas y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records Chile), licensed from Warner Bros. Records Inc., USA (uncredited), catalog number MSOD 8899, with hand etched matrix numbers YT-Rex-101A 1A (“1” machine etched) in Side A and YT-Rex-101B A1 (“1” machine etched) in Side B, with white/red EMI Odeon Records labels and 4-prong push-out center. It’s interesting to notice the 1/1 stampers!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE!!!
“Telegram Sam” was originally released in March 1972 in USA and the same year this single was released here in Chile. Song titles are written in English only, with full credits for Marc Bolan as songwriter and additional information about producers and rights society. But the most important fact to notice is that song “Cadillac” is misspelled “CADILAC”, with a “L” omitted and that name of the band, “T. REX”, was changed to “T – REX” in this Chilean record!!! So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS of this classic single by T. Rex, with EMI Odeon Records labels, 1/1 stampers and UNIQUE ERROR “Cadilac”, a record not many times seen and now auctioned here in eBay in GREAT CONDITION. The error "Cadilac" is informed because this Chilean copy is licensed from the US issue and in USA the title is "Cadillac". WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of T.Rex, Marc Bolan and Glam Rock music!!!
This record doesn’t come with a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, but with many scuffs, hairlines and light scratches of all sizes and in all directions, which don’t affect play at all, with the push-out center intact. Labels are in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, with some spindle hole wear, faint age browning, writings and a little tape covering part of the Odeon logo in Side B. The sound is in strong EX- or EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (background noise was normal in records from Chile), with constant very soft crackles, more evident in the last seconds of each song, which don’t cause major distraction from the still loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe this record could not to be for Minty minds or audiophiles mostly because of the look, but it still keeps a glossy look, clean and fully readable labels and a great sound quality after about 47 years, which won’t disappoint everyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the level of rarity of this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS of this so classic rock single, with EMI Odeon Records labels and UNIQUE ERROR!!! Yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND AGAIN!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…
Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
IMPORTANT TO READ
