BUT NOW THEY'RE CONTENT TO WEAR STARS ON THEIR BROWS " and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK STEREO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press REGAL ZONOPHONE label.THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE. THIS IS ONE OF TYRANNOSAURUS REX's RAREST LP's EVER, AND HARDLY EVER TURNS UP FOR SALE... TRY AND GET HOLD OF ANOTHER ONE!..NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN SUPERB CONDITION...(have a look at my photo's) THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK 1968 STEREO 1st PRESSING ON THE 1st PRESS REGAL ZONOPHONE  LABEL. 1st PRESS 1G/ 1G MATRIXES, AND 1st PRESS FRONT LAMINATED GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE 3 FLIPBACK SLEEVE ... WITH FIRST PRESS INNER LYRIC SHEET...THIS LP IS MEGA MEGA RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE RECORD...this is the ORIGINAL REGAL ZONOPHONE UK STEREO 1st pressing from 1968 and is in SUPERB condition!..The record is pressed on a slab of THICK black quality vinyl. The Cat no. SLRZ.  1003 on the 1st PRESS REGAL ZONOPHONE label...(have a look at my photo's) and is a UK STEREO 1st Pressing..

Labels are the sensational deep crimson/silver REGAL ZONOPHONE format in excellent+ condition . With the REGAL ZONOPHONE logo above the central holes on both sides of the labels to confirm that this is the very first issue of this magnificent rarity. Has some very minor spindle lines but NO damage of any kind. NO graffiti , NO rips NO tears or stickers and would therefore grade as  excellent +condition.!!!!

Vinyl

Thickly pressed heavy weight  vinyl pressing with jet black mirrior like surfaces That have that just pressed look!!. A magnificent vintage classic.Against a strong halogen light and angled at 45 degrees , There are NO surface marks,only one tiny scratch is visible, with NO blemishes at all!!! . Only some very tiny miniscule faint wispy lines are visible whatsoever!!. A remarkable visual and impossible to locate  in this in this condition! and would therefore grade as excellent+ The vinyl has a beautiful full sheen which would be impossible to find on a record of 41 years old!!!!....

Sleeve

First issue front lamimated Garrod & Lofthouse 3 flipback sleeve is in excellent++ condition !!!..Showing  only some very mild laminate wear lines mainly close to the edge and spine ,with NO sign of ring wear at all!!!.The sleeve has NO rips,NO tears and absolutley NO graffitti whatsoever,and is a pleasure to view.The sleeve is in excellent++ condition and a Fantastic collectors item .The Spine is perfectly straight and clearly legible , all flipbacks are clean and intact!!!.This is a fine example of this sensational REGAL ZONOPHONE classic !!!

My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows is the debut album by British rock band Tyrannosaurus Rex (later known as T. Rex), released in 1968. The record features Marc Bolan on vocals and guitars, and Steve Peregrine Took on backing vocals, drums, pixiephone, and percussion. It also features disc jockey John Peel, who reads a Bolan-penned fairytale for the album's closing track, "Frowning Atahuallpa (My Inca Love)," which includes what must be one of the earliest "Hare Krishna" chants on a British pop record (two years before George Harrison's My Sweet Lord).

The album's music is much influenced by Tyrannosaurus Rex' psychedelic contemporaries, and marks, for Bolan, a rejection of the electric guitar–led freakbeat music he'd been playing with his previous band, John's Children.

Recordings of the songs "Mustang Ford" (single release, titled "Go Go Girl") and "Hot Rod Mama" (live) by John's Children exist.

MINT (M): Unplayed, pristine condition, often still sealed.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in almost brand new condition with no apparent surface marks, full original vinyl lustre, and no deterioration in sound quality.The cover and any extra items are in near perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and/or packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record obviously has been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and/or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably, perhaps with some distortion and/or scratches. The cover and/or contents may suffer from folding, scuffing, spine-splits, major discolouration, etc.
