T. Rex were a British rock band fronted by guitarist, singer and songwriter Marc Bolan. Formed as Tyrannosaurus Rex in 1960s London, the folk rock group's debut album My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows (1968) reached number 15 in the UK. In the 1970s, they achieved mainstream success as a glam rock band with the hits "  Jeepster", "  Get It On", "  Ride a White Swan", "  20th Century Boy", "  Children of the Revolution", "  Hot Love", "  Telegram Sam"  and "  Metal Guru".  After waning commercial success in the mid-70s, T. Rex ended in 1977 after Bolan was killed in a car accident.

The Slider is the seventh studio album by British glam rock band T. Rex, released on July 21, 1972. Produced by Tony Visconti, it was the band's second record released with their new glam rock style opposed to the band's previous folk oriented music.

Singles of "Telegram Sam" and "Metal Guru" were released to promote the album. The Slider peaked at number four on United Kingdom charts and number seventeen on the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart. The album received very high praise from critics, with an Allmusic review describing the album as "  flawlessly executed, and every bit the classic that its predecessor is."

Original 1972 pressing on Reprise Records. Not a re-issue, No barcode. This LP is STILL SEALED in it's original shrinkwrap. There are no cut-outs or punch holes. It has the original gatefold cover. The corners are sharp. The shrink is tight. There is no wear to the cover. There is a "Super Saver" sticker and also an old "price" sticker on the front. This is a hard-to-find SEALED copy!!! Looks like it just came from the record store. Don't pass up this chance!!! LP is in nearly MINT condition.
