One of the rarest T. Rex items of all time.
T. Rex "Marc Bolan: A History" was a lovingly designed and produced, ultra-rare 4-album boxed set btlg from 1978. It was the first project of Prehistoric Record Productions (A Marc of Quality), who went on to release a number of other Bolan/Rex rarity albums and CDs over the next decade. The 12" records in this set are numbered Prehistoric Record Productions, Marc 1 through 4. The sleeves of the four discs are in excellent condition. The inner sleeves of each are intact, with no tears at the sides or bottom, and are in excellent condition. The discs themselves have hardly ever been played, and are also in excellent condition. The outside covers of the box itself has some age damage, with worn spots on the short sides, and some scuffing. The inside covers repeat the outside, and are in excellent condition.
My understanding is that "Marc Bolan: A History" was a limited-edition project, put together in the months following Marc's untimely death in September 1977. If you collect Marc Bolan or T. Rex seriously, this is truly one of the must-haves.
