On the ‘discogs.com’ website, it states it is only the First Pressing,- that does not have the ‘T2’ credit on the actual record labels, that is exclusive to the First Pressing - All other pressings have the T2 credit - Even the 1970 Represses.

The front of the cover is laminated in a semi gloss which lips over the spine by about 9mm onto the rear- the remainder of the rear is not laminated and has a ‘Matt’ printed finish to it, as First Pressings do.

Vinyl Overall in VERY GOOD + Condition, has been PLAYTESTED- on my middle of the road 1980’s Pioneer deck, with a Good needle.

So being harshly over critical, but an honest description- (so there are no hidden surprises when it arrives)

SOUND QUALITY - Overall it Gets a VERY GOOD + rating… (would be a VG++, but please read on) . Overall plays Great, no jumps, skips, or repeats, nice and clear sounds like it hasn’t been played much, a little static here and there and on the very quiet intro to track 1 side 2, which clears as the music volume rises, possibly the way it was recorded.

The reason it cannot be graded overall as a VG++ is that for less than a split second there is a very short ‘quiet’ click (not a ‘pop’) as the needle runs over/plays through, either an imperfection or a very light mark of some kind, The music does not jump or repeat, -there is no break in the music. This area is shown in photograph No19 and is located about 1 O’clock, of side 1, about 1/3rd into track 2. I did not actually notice this visually or sound quality wise the first time I played it at a normal volume, only after studying the Lp to photograph it did I actually notice it -I then played it again and listened carefully to the play over that area and at low volume noticed the click, when the needle ran over that very small area till it has passed it, as I said it’s for a fraction of a second - a shorter time than it takes to make a ‘click’ noise with your tongue!

VISUALLY - Overall it gets a VG to VERY GOOD + rating, the vinyl still has a glossy sheen to it,, just some of the usual very hard to see ghost swirls overall on both sides & a very light short top surface hairline on track 1, all only clearly visible in harsh sunlight/light- which I have tried to show with a torch in photograph No18. These all play through with no sound indication that they are actually there. (The mark mentioned previously excludes it from VG++, bordering it on VG to VG+)

LABELS - EXCELLENT, Clear Crisp printing, bold and bright, no colour fading, only the faintest sign of spindle hole use and you have to look very hard to see that

COVER - Overall Gets a VERY GOOD + Not faded, only the lightest signs of gentle handling -slight edge & corner wear, (see photographs) it does have a part, slight record outline impression and some light scuff wear to the back- again see photos

INNER SLEEVE - Gets a VERY GOOD for its age, its plastic lined, just signs of light handling and a little age related discolouration

Nb - I have had a question re the labels, -to clarify further….. In the UK First Pressing, there were actually ‘Two’ label variations on that run, —both did NOT, have any ‘T2’ credit present, - the layouts were slightly different.

For reference, in the last photo I have shown the two different First Pressing Labels… I am offering the LP with the labels layout shown in the top two boxes, ….the other variation of First Pressing labels is shown in the bottom two boxes (-with the white background). The photos are for reference purposes only, photo /labels not included in this sale.

Overall then quite a nice copy to own -Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description, ‘First Release’ information given is taken from the discogs.com website, -anyone can access/check this site and at no cost -without needing to be a member.
