ARTIST/BAND: Tad
RECORD TITLE: God's Balls
RECORD LABEL: Sub Pop (SP27)
PRESSING INFO: Original 1989 LP in glossy gatefold cover limited to 2,000 made with a huge 23" x 34" poster. Autographed on cover and poster by Tad, back signed by the band's manager. (Tad wrote "Love" over his knuckles and "Peace, Love, Dove - Love Tad" on his arm on the front, wrote "Beard" on his chin on the inside and "Where once was just stubble, now there is a forest - Love, Tad" on the poster. He had just recently grown a beard at that time). Got the signatures myself at a show in Madison, WI at O'Cayz Corral in late 1990, they were there recording 8-Way Santa at the time with Butch Vig.
CONDITION (CVR/POSTER/LP): VG++ (very light edgewear)/VG++ (minor handling bends, never hung)/Near Mint (no scuffs or marks, pristine shape!)
PLUS: Also included in this auction is an original Sub Pop 8" x 10" glossy Press Photo in Near Mint condition.
COMMENTS: Superb debut Punk/Grunge/Metal monster of an album. A truly unique collector's item with these great signatures. The show was incredible, too. At one point the building shook as Tad tried to stage dive into the crowd and of course everyone scattered and he hit the floor hard. Not too long after that the bar had to close because the floor eventually collapsed (true story). Can't say that Tad had anything to do with it but I thought for sure the place was coming down that night!
