Tracks: Pararo-Parara! A / Tau Tiare Iti

Love this Tahitian group, who did four records in the mid-1930s in Paris - some of the earliest Tahitian commercial (as opposed to ethnographic) music ever recorded. Led by Mme Matai and her partner Georges Tihoti-Rey, along with "Mootua" and "Ata."
"Pararo" is uptempo with strings (uke, guitar), and "Tau Tiare Iti" aka "Beloved Flower" is a slower number and no less lovely.
