SIDE A: SISTER JANE (Vocal by Jean-Jacques Goldman)
SIDE B: CREST
WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Records (W7 Records) very first PROMOTIONAL Stereo press released by W7 Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1975 by Asociación Fonográfica Nacional “ASFONA” M.R. (Asfona Records), licensed from Warner Bros. Records, France, through Warner Bros. Inc. U.S.A. Recording, catalog number 16.542, with hand etched matrix numbers 16542-A CD/AG in Side A and 16542-A CD/AG in Side B, with traditional orange/black W7 Records labels of the period and solid center. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact day of pressing, “25/8/75”, (August 25th of 1975). Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!
“Sister Jane” was originally released in France in 1975 and the same year we could see this now legendary hit by French Progressive Rock band Taï Phong, with a young Jean-Jacques Goldman as part of the band, released here in Chile. Song titles are written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and for Jean Mareska as producer of both songs, with additional information about licenses and rights society. It’s interesting to notice that here in Chile this record has the original French catalog number and that in both labels it’s also informed “Made In France”, but of course this record is made in Chile. So, here you have the chance to get and own this single by Taï Phong, with Jean-Jacques Goldman in voice, guitar and violin, the MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS of “Sister Jane” with UNIQUE W7 Records labels and UNIQUE DATE OF PRESSING, a record almost never seen and now auctioned here in eBay by the second time and IN GREAT condition!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Taï Phong, Jean-Jacques Goldman and French Progressive Rock music!!!
This record has the original Promotional paper cover of Asfona Records and it’s in VG or VG+ condition, complete and fully readable, with evident age browning, creases and ring marks, some faint blemishes, some writings in front cover, little rips and a 2 inches seam split in the spine, which doesn’t really affect the still nice look of this authentic and almost impossible to find Promotional cover of Asfona Records. The record is in nice EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with very light scuffs and some soft hairlines, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in great EX- or EX condition the Side A, clear and clean, with only minimal spindle hole wear, a writing “Lento” (Slow) and a white paper with the name of an old Chilean discotheque, glued above the spindle hole, and in EX+ or NM- condition the Side B, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong EX- or EX condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with very soft constant crackles and some occasional light clicks, more evident in the first seconds of the song, and in EX or EX+ condition the Side B, almost same condition of Side A, but with less evident soft crackles, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS, with a very nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and with a still a superb sound quality after 43 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget this is a MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS with UNIQUE W7 RECORDS LABELS, UNIQUE DATE OF PRESSING and it’s also an AUTHENTIC PROMOTIONAL COPY with THE AUTHENTIC PROMOTIONAL “ASFONA” COVER, a record almost never seen and so far I know, now auctioned here in eBay by the second time but this is the very first PROMO COPY seen!!! AMAZING FIND!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…
Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile
_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
IMPORTANT TO READ
