TAIWANESE LP: LIU CHIA-CHANG Stranger in Paradise UNIVERSAL ULP 1001
Liu Chia-Chang's Popular Ball (Volume 1), 12-inch 33rpm LP. As described on the LP jacket: "This record is Mr Liu Chia-Chang's first record in the Republic of China, Mr Liu Chia-Cheng is from South Korea and currently works at the Taipei Central Hotel nightclub. They will be performing there long-term. The album includes English songs as well as love songs from Japan, the Philippines and other countries. They also specially invited the famous singer Jin Zuling to perform two songs. The accompaniment was provided by Mr Huang Mingzheng, a guitarist renowned in the international music scene, accompanied by Mr Wang Chonghao, the principal drummer of the Republic of China and a small band of three including Lin Qiang. The harmonies were performed by Xu Ruoyu and Zheng Guichang." (Translation by Bixby Vision, with several variations in wording and names noted in different attempts at translation. The singer's name is sometimes rendered as Liu Jia Chang or Jiachang.)

GRADING: LPs, EPs and 45s are graded M (mint), NM (near mint), VG+, VG (very good), VG-, G+, G (good), G-, F (fair), and P (poor).
A VG+ record may have some visible scuffs and light scratches and plays well with little surface noise. Scratches on records graded VG and VG- may be deep enough to feel with your fingernail, or there may be scuffs or scratches throughout that cause surface noise. On records in the G+, G and G- range the level of the music is still above the surface noise caused by scuffs and scratches. Surface noise is as loud as the music on records graded F and louder than the music on P records. P records are likely to be unplayable.
