Belgian label Dauw welcome the work of Japanese ambient artist H. Takahashi, who has previously recorded albums for Where To Now?, Constellation Tatsu and Not Not Fun. As a producer commonly found working with GarageBand on his iPhone, the step to enter a fully-fledged studio with the assistance of Kohei Oyamada has opened up his sound on this new record. The concept hinges around the contemplation of the paleozoic era - a time of monumental changes for life on earth, and its echoes in the upheaval brought about by the global pandemic. The end result is a beautiful collection of melodious, beatless works with a natural lilt which neatly continues the avenue Takahashi has been heading down with his work to date.
