TALAL MADDAH “Ya Qamar / Ya Laila” 45 (Rajaphone c. 1970s?/Saudi Arabian ORIGINAL, pressed in Greece!!)
Here is another INCREDIBLY RARE Arabic single up for sale, this time from Saudi Arabia’s eternal star TALAL MADDAH! I don’t know his discography well enough to say exactly, but I assume this was put out sometime in the 1970s or so because I’ve had earlier 1960s singles of his before, but this one sounds a bit more polished/developed, like he might be a bit older by the time it was recorded. Anyway, it is AMAZING on both sides, so I’ve included the entire thing in the sample below (both sides), so that you can judge it and enjoy it.

Condition: Record is VG to VG-, a little bit rougher on the B-side with some louder more persistent clicks. I can’t exactly tell if there are a lot of marks thanks to the fancy marbled red vinyl (makes it hard to see the surface…is that a scratch, or part of the marbling?! Enlarge the pictures to see), but you can hear what I mean in the soundclip above, so please listen to the whole thing. It’s really quite enjoyable still, and these singles almost NEVER come up for sale, so this might be your only chance to get it!
