Description
"Live! Speed On Ice" captures Billy Sheehan and the Talas boys blowin' out the walls on a cold winter night. The Buffalo-based rockers may never have rose above cult status, but from stage, Talas made the walls sweat. Paced by Sheehan's incredible thumping bass runs and hot shredding from young guitarist Mitch Perry, Talas laid down pure rock with an edge. While Mr. Sheehan was the focal point of the group and Perry laid out the fretboard frenzy, the tight Talas machine was filled out with Canadian front man Phil Naro and rock steady drummer Mark Miller. Recorded on December 2, 1983, at the famed Lamour East rock club in New York, "Live! Speed On Ice" opens strong with the big ballsy "Sink Your Teeth Into That", followed by "Crystal Clear", Talas hit their stride with "King of the World", "Inner Mounting Flame", the raging "High Speed On Ice" and "Shyboy". This is the ORIGINAL (RARE) 1984 US Vinyl Pressing on the Combat Records label. The catalog # on the spine is: MX8005. There is no bar code matrix # . The record has been graded visually as NEAR MINT. Still has the deadwax in the spindal hole. Please see pictures. The cover is graded as EX+. FULLY INTACT. All ORIGINAL INSERTS are included!
