TALES OF JUSTINE DEMO ALBERT c/w MONDAY MORNING 1967 HMV POP 1614
ULTRA RARE FLOWER POP PSYCH DEMO ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER
On offer is The TALES OF JUSTINE demonstration sample 45 rpm entitled ALBERT c/w MONDAY MORNING released in the UK on HMV POP 1614 in 1967. This 45 was arranged by Andrew Lloyd Webber and produced by Tim Rice. The Record Collector feature on UK Psych (issue 247, March 2000) refers to the A side Albert as ‘toytown pop’ but goes on to say ‘its running mate… was of far greater consequence. Monday Morning is a jewel, a peerless encapsulation of flower pop with majestic orchestration and an impeccable arrangement’. The 45 sold hardly any copies at all and is very rarely offered for sale these days.
The disc for this rare demo 45 is in nice EX- condition and it plays EX throughout. It has nice clear labels and clean vinyl and comes housed in its original HMV sleeve.
