THE ALBUM WAS RELEASED IN A VERY SMALL QUANTITY AND IS JUST ABOUT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THEY NEVER RELEASED ANYTHING ELSE. SPEED/POWER METAL IS NOT MY THING BUT THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM AND WITH GREAT SONGS AND PLAYED WITH REAL PASSION. Talion is one of those criminally underrated post-NWBHM bands from the late 80s. They play extremely melodic yet rough and unpolished speed/power metal with thrash metal influences. Some of you know of Talion as two of their members (Graeme Wyatt and Pete Wadeson) are ex-members of Trojan (another great UK band) that released one album "Chasing The Storm" in 1985. However, "Killing The World" needs to be listen carefully several times before really geting into it, maybe that's the reason they never gained more fame and recognition they deserved - needs some Metal experience before listening to mighty Talion. Vocalist Graeme Wyatt sings regular mid-ranged vocals with occasional use of high-pitched vocals. His voice is full of melody and raw power - it will make you sing along with him especially the "crowd parts" in the songs. Also, his voice is very special, can't recall any other vocalist who sounds like him. He is totally unique! Guitarist Pete Wadeson is real guitar-hero as he has some great neck-breaking riffs in every song that will make you beg for mercy! His solos are very tasteful and extremely fast. Rhythm section, Johnny Lee Jackson (drums) and Phil Gavin (bass), is very sold providing fist-pumping rhythmes that will make you headbang accross the room like a maniac! Every single song here is great (no fillers!) including crazy instrumental "Speed Thrills" and incredible timeless speed Metal classic "Premonition". Choruses in every song are very catchy. Lyrics are dealing with things like politics, social problems and enviromental polution and are written very well and easy to remember. Production is, as i already said, somehow rough and the overall sound is not polished, which makes it even more "true"! Also, comic-like cover artwork is simply amazing and totally goes with the music! "Killing The World" is the best combination of speed, power and thrash Metal that i've ever heard. I would really like to know where are band members today and what are they doing (are they still in music?). Anyway, find and listen to Talion, don't let this undiscovered Metal gem pass you by!
