UK SIRE (SRK 6095) FIRST PRESSING (October 1980) OF TALKING HEADS' FOURTH LP, "Remain In Light" - IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION - POSSIBLY COMPLETELY UNPLAYED (there are no spindle traces or signs of use on the labels and the vinyl surfaces shine like new) - FANTASTIC COPY
PRESSED ON QUALITY MID/HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH THE FIRST YELLOW SIRE LABELS
FIRST PRESS MATRIX: SRK+6095+A (stamped 'STRAWBERRY') / SRK+6095+B (stamped 'STRAWBERRY')
THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL SLEEVE WITH A LIGHT GLOSSY FINISH
COMPLETE WITH BOTH THE ORIGINAL CARD INNER SLEEVE AND LYRIC INSERT (also printed on light card)
The musical transition that seemed to have just begun with Fear of Music came to fruition on Talking Heads' fourth album, Remain in Light.
"I Zimbra" and "Life During Wartime" from the earlier album served as the blueprints for a disc on which the group explored African polyrhythms on a series of driving groove tracks, over which David Byrne chanted and sang his typically disconnected lyrics.
Remain in Light had more words than any previous Heads record, but they counted for less than ever in the sweep of the music and the complex soundscapes conjured by producer Brian Eno.

LABELS: The labels are clean, bright and unmarked with no spindles or signs of use - beautiful copy - possibly completely played - MINT
VINYL Visual: The record lies perfectly flat on the turntable and both surfaces retain their original deep, like-new, glossy sheen. To be very picky there are some wispy light hairlines produced by the inner sleeve but these have no audio consequence - NEAR MINT
VINYL Audio: Sensational audio quality - crystal clear, clean, rich, deep and complex. On playback at a loud volume (and even though I have listed this as unplayed I always listen to my records at a loud volume as even mint looking records can play with imperfections) it plays beautifully throughout and sounds stunning - sensational stuff and very, very highly recommended indeed - MINT
SLEEVE: The sleeve is crisp, clean and fresh - practically untouched - NEAR MINT
INNER SLEEVE: The inner is clean and unmarked with no splits. There is a tiny little crease at the opening edge where the record has possibly been taken out of the sleeve the one time - NEAR MINT (The LP is now housed - and will be posted in - a new inner to prevent any 'knifing' damage to the original during transit)
INSERT: The card lyric sheet is similarly NEAR MINT with just a tiny light crease to the bottom corner otherwise, as-new
