TALKING HEADS:Speaking in Tongues 1st Ltd Ed 9 track on Clear vinyl. G/M COND
Welcome to my listings.To all overseas bidders Please read before bidding. I will not falsify any information when sending custom declarations. I will indicate the true value of any item that has been sold. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay the correct custom duty on any winning item.
No exceptions will be made.
All items are packed and dispatched in heavy duty LP mailers with cardboard reinforcements. I use heavy duty packaging tape. I always separate the LP from the sleeve and any inner sleeves that are part of the LP. This stops any damage to the item while in transit.
TALKING HEADS: Speaking In Tongues Very Scarce and now becoming very hard to find Rare Limited Edition 1983 German Direct Metal Mastered 1st pressing on Clear Vinyl issue of the 9-track LP, housed in a transparent protective plastic cover, with exclusive artwork & credits printed on three 12" circular transparent collages, one per primary colour, designed by Robert Rauschenberg. Increasingly hard to find!
PLAY GRADED:
Equipment used to test this LP was my Townshend Rock II turntable positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform, with a Linn Ittok modified arm and Audio Technica VM95ML Shibata modified cartridge feeding through a Trilogy 906 phono stage positioned on a Townshend Seismic Sink. Amplification is a Lavardin IS amp positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform. Speakers are bi-wired Nordost Blue Heaven Rev II Speaker Cable Impluse H6's positioned on Townshend Seismic Isolation Bars.
The LP played through its entirety with no distortion. There were no loud pops or skipping. There was surface noise heard on the lead in tracks and inbetween tracks but was soon forgotten when the music kicked in.
Please note that this is a used item and there is always isolated static, ticks, light pops that maybe or can be heard, even in the quieter places during the play of any vinyl. There will be elements of surface noise. Please remember that this is an Original 40 year old LP.I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable/system - Cartridge and stylus profile, tracking weight, Arm VTA, arm type all go to make a difference to the sound of any LP being played.
THE COVER: The outer moulded cover shows damage to the PVC. There is also a deletion drill hole in one of the covers corners. There is age related discolouration to the PVC which can be viewed on the attached images. I have graded the cover in GOOD condition.
THE INNERS: The 3 rotating inners have been graded in EXCELLENT condition with no damage.
THE VINYL: Both sides of this vinyl LP still retains all of its original lustre and sheen with no dulling and in daylight looks awesome. Placed under a 100w bulb there are virtually no hairline or surface marks to both sides. There are no deep scratches which can be seen or felt. I have graded the vinyl in EXCELLENT++ condition.
