AUDIOPHILE CLASSIC 1ST PRESSING - VERY LOW STAMPERS & MOTHERS LA FILLE MAL GARDEE HEROLD-LANCHBERY 1962 DECCA SXL 2312 ED1 WBG 'Original Recording By'

This appears to be an exceptionally early 1st pressing of this legendary recording. Generally the album plays extremely well. However there is a scratch towards the middle of the first track on Side One. Initially this creates some very light crackle followed by around 25 low pops. These do not overpower the music however. The scratch can be seen at 6 o'clock on the third picture below. Whilst the vast majority of the side plays close to NM I will have to grade at VG+.
Side Two has some wispy hairline marks and overall plays EX- with some light crackle in the run in groove and some occasional pops.
The early flipback sleeve grades VG with some ring wear and discoloration on the rear and creasing of the spine.
I have played the album on a Goldring Lenco GL75 turntable.

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc.
The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
