One of the finest records you will ever hear ………………………..
This , the 1974 release on Nonesuch (H-71291) , has Des Roches directing The New Jersey Percussion Ensemble in works by Varese , Colgrass , Cowell , Saperstein , and Oak . Please , make no mistake , this ensemble , this record , is an audiophile doozy !!!
Just try the Cowell on for size……………“Ostinato Pianissimo” for 2 string pianos , 8 rice bowls , 2 wood blocks , guiro , tambourine , 2 bongs , 3 drums , 3 gongs and a xylophone . Trust me , it only gets worse from there . Fact is , I would suggest you harbor your pets elsewhere during the playing of this records , even move the fish tank , if you can .
A brilliant record , worthy of note and its place on the TAS list as one of the best classical recordings of all time .
Please watch your volume on this record , it will eat your system for lunch if you are not careful . ( The kind of bass that will blow out a match , I kid you not )

Mint (M) : Album has been opened and most like unplayed and as close to new as possible.
Near Mint (NM) : The records appears as Mint condition with perhaps one spindle mark and no marks on the vinyl. Vinyl has original gloss.
Near Mint - ( NM - ) : In Between NM and VG ++
Very Good Plus (VG++) : May have some minor scratches or scuffs that would not effect play quality. And well looked after with still glossy vinyl.
VG+, Poor or Fair condition items : I do not sell

We are not responsible for packages that may be lost, stolen or damaged unless you have them insured for their total value. We will also ship overseas by UPS or FedEx if you request it. We do not recommend surface mail which it takes months.

If item is not as described, we will refund money. Customer is responsible for shipping back to us. I mark my LP's so I'll know if there is a substitute. Damaged items won't qualify for credit.
