Description

PLEASE NOTE: THIS RECORD HAS A SIGNIFICANT CONDITION ISSUE. PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY AND/OR WATCH VIDEO BEFORE CONSIDERING PURCHASE.

Here is a great 1981 release on the BIS label (LP-163/164) out of Sweden. This is a double-record set of Gregorio Paniagua directing the Atrium Musicae De Madrid in performances of la Spagna music of the 15-17th centuries, on period instruments. Record pressed in Germany by Teldec. Highly sought by audiophiles - it's on the TAS list and Arthur Salvatore's Best Sounding Recorings list.

Condition - I got this new and sealed, but it was obviously warped. I opened the seal to see how bad the warp was. It looks quite bad, but when I played both sides of the first record, they didn't sound too bad. A small bit of noise is audible at the warp point on early revolutions, but that noise seems to diminish at the record progresses. I took a little video of both sides of one record playing. You can see the warp, but the noise may not be audible, as I shot this through my phone, which does not have a very powerful microphone. The record grades at G by sight, but more like VG++ by sound grade. The jacket is still in plastic and looks great, with a light bend from warped records. The jacket grades at Near Mint Minus.

Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new professional grade materials.

Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed opened records. The highest grade I give to unsealed records is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
