Rare original LSC-1806. TAS Listed.RCA VICTOR Living Stereo lp shaded dog labels,1S/1S pressings.The Richard Strauss "Also Sprach Zarathustra", Opus 30 with Fritz Reiner conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.Listed on Harry Pearson's Super LP List.
This is a rare original 12" Living stereo LP on RCA VICTOR Records LSC-1806. A 170 gram 1S/1S pressing.Shaded Dog labels. The Jacket has slight discoloration on the back and had a top and spline split [Repaired from inside with archival bookbinders tape] The record is just under NM there are some very light surface scuffs or marks that fortunatly have only minor effect on the sound. I listened to this completly and it is a stunning recording. I thought it would be noisy from the surface marks but there are no skips and the sound is in very listenable condition.just some light occasional lp noise. The back side has a small yellow stain and a sticker pull[repaired with matching white paper]. Plays beautifully with rich,clear sound.Listed on Harry Pearson's Super LP List,Each unsealed LP carefully cleaned on a new VPI HW-17F professional Lp Cleaning machine and is carefully packed and mailed in a new LP carton.a new poly jacket cover and if needed a new poly lined sleeve. This is a rare original LIVING STEREO Shaded Dog Label RCA VICTOR LSC-1806 recording. RCA started stereo recording around 1954-5 and released initially on the LM-series in mono and in stereo on two track Reel to Reel tape. These early recordings were made in Symphony Hall prior to the remodeling which ruined it for recording purposes. Photo is a sample of this type label.
