Whew, this is a rare beauty indeed, especially as clean as this copy is!
Another copy has sold for £150 on eBay but graded at"vg+", so I know that finding this original pressing in THIS lovely condition is very prized, and extremely scarce.
T-Bone Walker was one of the very FIRST exponents of electric guitar in blues, and he had a style of playing that was unusual in that he held the guitar flat so it was side-on to his chest. His deft picking of the notes were wonderfully expressive, and he could employ that sensitivity to Jazz as well as Blues.
Here the album starts with a strong instrumental that swings! The pace is never predictable though, so there are slow thoughtful tracks and an upbeat shuffle.
Lyrically as great, and he's NO slouch on vocals, he had a very distinctive voice, to stand alongside such as Bobby Bland, Freddie King or B.B. King.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is a top EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT-, a couple of superficial marks are sparse and barely visible. Certainly it would be extremely difficult to imagine a better preserved copy,
The SAME goes for the LAMINATED FLIPBACK COVER, as it's SUPERB and really lovely and clean. A small corner bend at top right only.
Original inner sleeve with 'greaseproof' lining.
