Description
This is part of the "Classics In Jazz" series. 8 Tracks. This can be considered a jazz record or a blues record. Walker has an unparalled reputation as a blues artist. I could only find some discographic information. The probable artists on 1 track are Jack Trainer, trumpet; Bumps Myers, tenor sax; Willard McDaniels, piano; Billy Hadnott, bass; drums unidentified. On 2 tracks, I was able to determine that the probable artists are Teddy Buckner, trumpet; Myers, tenor sax; Lloyd Glenn, piano ; Archie Edwards, bass; Oscar Lee Braden, drums. Most tracks I could not identify. This is a particularly rare issue. On the back cover is the T-Bone Walker autograph and dedication. The autograph is in dark blue-black fountain pen ink. It is clear but there is a minor smear at the top of the "T" as well as a couple of other minor smears on "Bone" Neither of these take away from the clarity of this rare autograph. Cover: VG(-) to VG 6" aging scotch tape repair on the spine. The top edge has completely split (no repair). some aging opn the back cover and to a lesser degree on the front cover. Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. Probably played a number of times. There are a small number of brush-like rub marks that do no effect the sound. There may be a rare, occasional click (I didn't hear any). I would consider this in fine condition. Audibly checked.
