RARE TEARS FOR FEARS 'SHOWS FROM THE BIG CHAIR' TOUR PROGRAMME - SIGNED
Signed in person by Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal back in 1985 or 1986 (can't remember exactly!) when I saw them live at the Liverpool Empire and then 'sneaked' into their after show party at the Adelphi Hotel bar! Curt was sitting quietly with his then-wife Lynn, and Roland was a bit tipsy at the bar chatting and being very funny and very polite. He was talking with me and was making fun of the Scouse (Liverpool) accent which is what gave him the inspiration to sign my programme in the way he did! It was all in good fun. He was very funny and it's a great momento of that evening. Unfortunately my current situation forces me to sell this great Tears For Fears rarity. (I really would prefer to keep it though).
The programme itself is a lovely glossy brochure full of great photos. It has been kept in safe, clean, dry storage for the past 26 years so is in great condition considering it's age. There are a couple of grubby marks on a couple of the pages from when I dropped it at the show all those years ago. However they are not on any detailed areas of the pages.
On the spread that features Curt and Roland, Curt has signed "Curt" on his page and Roland has signed "Sound as a Pound, Roland Orzabal". Sound as a Pound is a Liverpool (Scouse) phrase that means 'great' or 'I am feeling great' so this is a great inscription to receive from him and makes the autograph that bit better and unique. A real one-off Tears For Fears collectible.
Programme will also come with a Letter of Authenticity to provide the background to this signed programme.
