Ted And Ray: Tell Him No / The Victors: Guitar Boogie Shuffle
In the National Film and sound Archive's book "The First Wave ( Australian rock and Pop recordings, 1955 to 1963)" , Ted and Ray are credited as being an Australian duo but I have strong doubts, the song was originally recorded by Travis (Pritchard) and Bob. It reached #8 in the Billboard chart in april 1959. There were several cover versions most notably by Dean and Marc, who went on to become the Newbeats. The version of Guitar Boogie Shuffle on the B side is very good but who are "The Victors"
Vinyl has some light marks and hairlines that have a minimal effect on the sound. Record plays with some faintly audible background noise . Label has name in texta above the HMV name on the B side as well as the same name in biro next to the title of the song. Label on the scanned side is clean and much clearer that the scan shows. Comes in an HMV paper sleeve.
