Background -
The Hamburg-born guitarist Sonja Prunnbauer received her first guitar lessons with Eike Funck in Hamburg to study with Karl log in Vienna. She started her solo career in the competition "Young Artists Concerts" from which she emerged in 1974 as a winner, following which she committed to a number of concerts as a soloist. During this time, she also received a teaching position at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg.Since 1980, Sonja Prunnbauer is a professor of classical guitar at the University of Music in Freiburg. Her worldwide concerts have her playing both as a soloist and in ensembles. She leads seminars at home and abroad and has been invited as a juror at international guitar competitions. In addition to radio and television productions she has released a number of CD recordings in the field of solo and chamber music with various ensembles and orchestras (with Robert Hill, Rainer Kussmaul, Consortium Classicum). Sonja Prunnbauer enjoys performing chamber Music, especially with original period instruments.
In 1975 Sonja Prunnbauer made her first recording. She followed that with numerous recordings featuring solo and chamber-music playing with various groups and orchestras. These recordings help document her great diversity. She has appeared on all major German radio and TV networks, and in 1982 she made a pioneer video tape recording of lessons for beginners in classical guitar playing.
Terebesi, György. Violinist, teacher, b Budapest 23 Jul 1932, naturalized German 1970, naturalized Canadian 1986. He studied violin and chamber music in Budapest, at the Conservatory (1948-50) and at the Franz Liszt Academy (1950-4). Leaving Hungary in 1956, he received further training in Paris (1957-9). Subsequent to a series of concerts with orchestra in Paris, Nancy and Monte-Carlo, and recitals in France, Germany, South America and North Africa, he was concertmaster with various orchestras in Munich, Pforzheim, and Frankfurt. In 1973, he performed Bach concertos on a tour with Henryk Szeryng. He was invited (1971-3) by CAMMAC to teach violin and chamber music. Settling in Quebec City in 1981, he was appointed professor at Laval University. In 1982, became first violin of the Laval String Quartet, of which he was a founding member.

CONDITION Details:
The GATE-FOLD LP jacket is in near mint minus condition. The jacket is tight and clean, with NO seam splits. The corners are solid. The colors on the jacket are sharp and clean with just light shelf wear. The corners and seams show light shelf wear - see pictures with this listing for more detail as they are of the actual item.
The LP is in excellent overall condition! There are no serious marks on Side 1 of the vinyl. Side 2, near the end has a mark that may sound on some audio systems. Further, there may be some light spider marks on the LP (caused by sliding the LP in and out of the inner sleeve) and a finger print or two. Most of the time, spider marks are not audible, but it really depends on the sensitivity of your audio gear. Considering the vintage of this LP, the vinyl looks excellent. However, this is not a new audiophile LP....some extraneous sound is inevitable and should be expected for a vintage LP. This LP retains much of the original gloss and sheen! There are NO serious spindle marks on the record labels either.A Short Note About LP GRADING -
- Mint = Only used for sealed items.
- Near Mint = Virtually flawless in every way.
- Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
- Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
- Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.
For best results, always thoroughly clean your LPs before playing them.
LPs can be audiophile quality pressings (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
