An appearance on the final night at Woodstock only reinforced the status of Ten Years After as one of rock's premier blues/rock's bands. At the height of their power in 1971, they released "A Space In Time", with the hit single "I'd Love To Change The World" with guitar riffs that must be included among the greatest in Rock 'n' Roll history. The album went on to be their all-time best seller.
Guitarist and vocalist Alvin Lee provides exceptional blues leads and the majority of the songwriting along with band mates Chick Churchill on keyboards, Leo Lyons on bass and drummer Ric Lee.
A Space In Time is a mature work, more restrained than the band's previous albums primarily because of the liberal use of tasty acoustic guitar and plenty of sound effects and studio tricks that complement the overall texture...and it really works. There's still Alvin Lee's lightning quick blues licks, but he also knew how to slow it down on the quieter tracks as well as write some powerful tunes ranging from the folksy "Here They Come" to the Chuck Berry-influenced "Baby Won't You Let Me Rock 'n' Roll You". "Let the Sky Fall" is a standout track with psychedelic vocals reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix.
Alvin Lee has said "A Space In Time" is his favorite album...some would call it a masterpiece of rock!

Ten Years After STONEDHENGE 180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE LIMITED EDITION LP WITH GATEFOLD JACKET
180-gram audiophile vinyl, gatefold sleeve
On August 17, 1969, Ten Years After performed a breakthrough American appearance at Woodstock; their rendition of "I'm Going Home" was featured in both the subsequent film and soundtrack album and catapulted them to star status.
Earlier in 1969 they had released their 3rd LP, Stonedhenge. Stonedhenge shows Ten Years After was already expanding their basic boogie-rock template. Producer Mike Vernon helped steer the band into a more jazz- and blues-oriented direction.
It's especially evident in the swinging "Woman Trouble". On the Canned Heat-sounding "Hear Me Calling," Alvin Lee keeps his fleet fingers in check, preferring to work his style into a more organic fusion. "A Sad Song" successfully builds tension without the need for speedy guitar solos. The eight-minute "No Title" slowly creates a moody atmosphere for three minutes until Lee cranks out a loud extension on its main riff that sets the stage for Chick Churchill's eerie organ solo. On the closing "Speed Kills" Ten Years After returns to the basics, as a way to let the fans know they can still churn out the rocking when needed!

Ten Years After Watt 180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE LIMITED EDITION LP

Watt is the fifth album by the English blues rock band Ten Years After, released in 1970. It was recorded in September 1970 except for the last track, a cover of Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen," which is a recording from the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. The album features Alvin Lee on guitar & vocals, Leo Lyons on bass, Ric Lee on drums and Chick Churchill hammers the organ. Superb tracks on the album are the catchy "I Say Yeah" and the laid back "My Baby Left Me."
Between 1968 and 1973, Ten Years After scored eight Top 40 albums on the UK Albums Chart. In addition they had twelve albums enter the US Billboard 200, and are best known for tracks such as "I'm Going Home," "Hear Me Calling," "I'd Love to Change the World," and "Love Like a Man." Watt charted at no. 21 on the Billboard 200 and no. 5 in the UK Charts.

Ten Years After Undead 180 GRAM EXPANDED LIMITED EDITION Import 2LP

180g Audiophile Vinyl! Contains Material Previously Not on Vinyl!
Undead is a live album by Ten Years After, recorded live at the small jazz club, Klooks Kleek, in London on May 14th, 1968. The show combined Blues, Boogie and Jazz playing that merged more traditional Rock and Roll with 50s-style Jump Blues. Alvin Lee, Leo Lyons, Chick Churchill and Ric Lee together became one of the biggest club attractions in England. Their music knows no compromise - it's straight down the line. It's loud and tough - but honest. Undead captures the excitement and raw energy of the band's live performances.
When originally released in 1968, the album was only 38 minutes long, due to the timing constraints of vinyl. As the band's tunes were all pretty long, there were only five tracks on the original issue. The expanded edition of Undead contains 4 additional tracks of the performance and is available on vinyl for the very first time. The remastered audio is pressed on 180 gram audiophile vinyl and Side D is beautifully etched.
