" STONEDHENGE "
on the original DERAM RECORDS Lable cat# SML 1029 in Stereo from 1968
An early sign that Ten Years After were a serious blues band and here to stay, is found with this cool album from 1968.
Cohesive, albeit varied, it takes a freer look at what Cream had done with the 3-piece supergroup concept, lightening up from needless soloing or ego-battling. However, Alvin Lee suggests he had the confidence to burn, with his vocal and guitar delivery - which manifested completely at Woodstock for their blazing strutting performance!
This predated that by a year...which was a long time in latter-60's sensibility. A great landmark LP for them, and certainly worthy as a bluesy record putting them firmly on the rock 'n roll map.
The vinyl is NM, SUPER-clean top shine and sounding lovely and bright!
The Lables grade Near Mint- condition with a couple of spindle marks only.
