Description

I cannot find record from archived auctions or Discogs of Mishima test pressings ever seeing light of day. This came from the estate of Peter Bartok, sound engineer and son of neo-classical composer Bela Bartok. Peter had many connections in the neo-classical community like Paul Arma and others. Perhaps this was gifted to Peter by Philip or the record label. He worked with Nonesuch on a few titles, but his involvement with the label was a full decade before this title.
Disc is VG+++ or EX with no marks of note. Sounds great with only very faint background surface noise.
Sleeve is a generic and is VG to VG+. No splits, but some discoloration. Has a $1 bargain bin title written on it. I assume is got placed into this sleeve for protection.

I used Shazam to confirm the recorded material. It identifies it as The Kronos Quartet rather than as the Mishima soundtrack, but that is the group that performed the soundtrack. It did properly identify the tracks like "Osamu's Theme", "Kyoko's House", "Temple of the Golden Pavilion", and others.
