One of a number of excellent quality BEATLES’ / related collectibles that we have for auction this week. Cilla’s first LP release, 1965 - original GERMAN Stereo 1st Pressing with an awesome ODEON Label on Side One and what appears to be a TEST PRESSING label on Side Two!
Housed in front laminated fold-over cover. This GERMAN LP is a real beauty and a joy to own! She was, of course, a hipster Liverpudlian, working the same circuit as the BEATLES ... and became good friends with them in the BEGINNING before they hit it big. BRIAN EPSTEIN was her manager as well and this LP was PRODUCED BY GEORGE MARTIN! The liner notes tell all about it ...
In May 2010 new research published by BBC showed that her version of "Anyone Who Had a Heart" was the UK's
biggest selling single by a female artist in the 1960s. (Wiki)
