Description

Here’s a very rare test pressing of Phil Spector’s Christmas album, featuring the Ronettes, Crystals, Darlene Love, and Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans. This album was originally released in 1963 on the Philles label. The labels, as you can see in the pictures, are blank, but the white cardboard sleeve has a handwritten note which says, “Phil Spector X-mas Album SP9103”. This catalog number coinsides with an early 1980s reissue of the LP. I noticed, however, that this test pressing plays in mono… that particular issue was in stereo.
