Description

A 180g test pressing of Classic Records' reissue of the justly famous "Pictures at an Exhibition" with Reiner conducting the CSO originally released as RCA LSC 2201.
This is an UNUSUAL test pressing in that for some reason or other, this cut (according to the hand written note on the jacket) was rejected.
The matrix # ends in "A1", whereas the actual release ends in "A", which may indicate this was a second cut that was rejected in favor of the original, so it's quite possible that only a few of these exist, probably given out to reviewers since the sleeve says "with the compliments of CLASSIC RECORDS".

 The jacket and RTI test pressing label have NOTHING STAMPED ON THEM, which is also highly unusual.
Jacket has sticker and "Pictures at an Exhibition" hand written on it. Slight amount of water-damage to the jacket but the record is 100% perfect---no water ever touched record.
