TONY BENNETT And BILL EVANS Album
New & Sealed Audiophile Vinyl Record

Label: Analogue Productions APR 3004 (Test Pressing)

Album is packaged in a generic white sleeve with the following information stamped in the upper right hand corner:

MAR 26 1996, APR-3004 A2/B2

Rare test pressing for the limited edition, Analogue Productions remaster of the this Bola Sete Brazilian jazz classic. Only information on the disc itself is stamped on the upper right corner of the cover and on the disc label.

These highly collectible test pressings are from the first stamper and sometimes less than 10 exist. Test pressings reflect the closest you can get to the lacquers and hence have a special collectible value.

Known for being one of the premier vinyl reissue labels in the world, Analogue Productions releases are all Premium Vinyl pressings. They are half-speed mastered and cut from the original master tapes with all vacuum tube electronics.

Condition: Record is new and sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation is completely intact. Bottom right corner is slightly stubbed.

Disclaimer: Because this record is sealed, I am taking it on faith that the vinyl within is what's marked on the jacket. As I've said, it's the only identifying marker on the LP.

Side One
1. Young And Foolish
2. The Touch Of Your Lips
3. Some Other Time
4. When In Rome
5. We'll Be Together Again

Side Two
6. My Foolish Heart
7. Waltz For Debby
8. But Beautiful
9. Days Of Wine And Roses

Review: Bill Evans was never known as a vocal accompanist and Tony Bennett wasn’t a cabaret singer, yet the unlikely duo collaborated at Fantasy Studios June 10th through the 13th 1975 to record this now-classic album of romantic, often nostalgic ballads, probably at the behest of Helen Keane, Evans’ long time manager who produced here along with twenty nine other Evans albums.

Back in 1996 Acoustic Sounds issued this album as part of its “Revival Series” (APR3004), cut by Stan Ricker on the then newly acquired Wilson Audio Custom Tube Mastering facility. It was a first shot on a new system installed at RTI. Highly recommended!  ~ Michael Fremer
