THAD JONES "DETROIT-NEW YORK JUNCTION" - On Blue Note BLP 1513. Original FLAT EDGE MONO pressing 12" LP, double sided DEEP GROOVE with the classic Blue & White labels and the 767 LEXINGTON AVE NYC address on both labels. "EAR" and RVG engraved in the dead wax of both sides. Heavy stiff vinyl, thick cardboard cover. The personnel: Thad Jones/trumpet; Billy Mitchell/tenor sax; Kenny Burrell/guitar; Tommy Flanagan/piano; Oscar Pettiford/bass; Shadow Wilson/drums. The vinyl is in glossy VG++ to VG+ condition. The thick cardboard cover is VG+ and displays nicely. Bottom seam taped discreetly. NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly bold & striking. Address on back cover is 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21. The songs are: Blue Room; Tarriff; Little Girl Blue; Scratch; Zec.
